Broken Ice

It freezes and melts, freezes and melts. I hadn't taken into consideration the rapid weather changes of Lofoten. And the continuing winter here.
Every new place I visit breaths new life into me, reinforcing why I travel. Here it seems that the weather takes the place of travel, landscapes changing daily along with the heavens, the temperatures and the wind.
My window conveniently provides me the many changes.

I 've begun recording sounds and learning how to edit them in the computer. It's a new toy. One day I just may post a sound clip of my life here in 32 tracks, one for each year of my life. Perhaps just one track for each week. I'll start with the humming of my refrigerater, move on to the water lapping the foundations out side my window, continue on to the wind and the sound of the gulls, and perhaps throw a little beethoven into the mix.

As for ice, I try to keep it outside these days, and the warmth at home. Because thats what I have here, for the first time in a long time. It's wonderful to live in a wooden house in this weather.
